Thanks to Steam's Next Fest video game demo event, The lounge managed to check out a few games. However, one title ended up getting me hooked for hours. This game is called Crow Country. You will find this game releasing on Steam and it comes with a demo that you can check out right now. Another thing, the game has an official website. This game will be releasing for PC and PS5. Indie horror games are one good thing to have. It doesn't stop there and decides that we actually need a retro-style indie horror title. This mysterious title surprised us who played the demo and I anticipate this games completion and release with great hope.

Crow country takes place in 1990. Mara Forest, a secret agent, is tasked with investigating an abandoned amusement park in search for the owner of the park and some answers. Things go haywire really quick. In real life if such a amusement park has the kind of situation going down where you have monsters of all sorts roaming, you would be expecting heavy military presence and hazmat team. Since we are in the world of survival horror games, you got to look around for clues, ammo, healing items, and key items while you fight off monstrous threats. You fight off humanoid zombie like things, spider like things, mutated puddles, and big ass sons of bitches that haunt your dreams. This game's retro style gameplay is an isometric view retro controlled game with rotating camera and an aiming system. The graphics take on an PS1 era art style. How does this title kick things off.

The gameplay from wandering around to defending yourself can really put you on your toes. Puzzles are looking very interesting with offerings of more variety. The story becomes very interesting as you become curious as to what led to the current terrifying state that park is in right now. All that said, I am keeping this game on my radar. Definitely more likely to become score +1 for indie games as soon as it releases. Let's hope for the best and start rooting for this one.

Check out Crow Country's official website for details, screenshots, and information regarding it's demo!
